Business Development Specialist – Multiple Locations

Our business is expanding and we are currently looking for Business Development Specialists with demonstrated experience in the Engineering and I.T. fields. Join our sales team today and be part of our success!

St. John’s, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, and Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

Responsibilities :

  • Expand Noramtec’s client network using cold calling, social media, online and in-person networking and referral methods.
  • Develop and cultivate strong customer relationships throughout all levels of management, through thorough needs analysis, and prompt problem resolution.
  • Generate new business by actively pursuing new clients and/or new projects with established clients.
  • Meet with prospective clients, negotiate fee structure, and write contracts.
  • Understand Noramtec’s mission and organizational values and communicate them to clients
  • Provide exceptional client services
  • Manage clients through the use of internal Contact Management System
  • Work closely with the recruiting team concerning job order status and candidate acquisition.
  • Competent preparation of RFI’s, RFQ’s, RFP’s, and marketing presentations.
  • Coordinate on-site orientation for temporary contractors.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in an employment agency.
  • Proven success in sales and business development in an agency environment.
  • Motivated self-starter with an outgoing and courteous approach.
  • Able to work autonomously and under limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, verbal, and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, internet research, and social media tools.
  • Knowledge of the engineering, construction and IT industries preferred.
  • Must be legally allowed to work for any employer in Canada.

  • Present top candidates to sales staff as per their clients needs.
  • Conduct pre-screening phone interviews and in-person interviews with qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate clients’ interviews with selected candidates.
  • Assist clients with their onboarding process.
  • Administer background checks and drug and alcohol testing of selected candidates.
  • Collaborate with sales team to understand and satisfy clients’ needs.
  • Manage and develop Noramtec’s in-house candidate database.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1 year of previous recruitment experience, preferably in an employment agency
  • Self-motivated, efficient with good time management skills and relentless follow-up.
  • Able to work independently to achieve goals and meet targets.
  • Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, verbal, and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, internet research, and social media tools.
  • Knowledge of the engineering, construction and IT industries preferred.
  • Must be legally allowed to work for any employer in Canada.
